Description
In this sixth-grade geometry worksheet, students will learn to calculate the areas of complex figures by breaking them down into rectangles and triangles. They will then add the area of each part to determine the total area of the compound shape. The worksheet is two pages long and includes a final question that challenges students to use critical thinking skills to find an alternative method for calculating the area of compound shapes and explain why it produces the same result.
