Description
What It Is:
This is an 'I Spy Thanksgiving' worksheet. It features a collection of Thanksgiving-themed images like turkeys, pumpkins, pies, pilgrims, corn, leaves, scarecrows, and ships scattered throughout. Below the main image is a section with smaller versions of some of the images, each with a blank line next to it for students to write the number of times they find each image in the larger picture.
Grade Level Suitability:
This worksheet is suitable for preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary grades (approximately Pre-K to 2nd grade). The visual nature of the activity and simple counting make it appropriate for younger children developing their counting and visual discrimination skills.
Why Use It:
This worksheet helps children develop visual scanning skills, counting abilities, and object recognition. It also introduces and reinforces Thanksgiving-related vocabulary. It's a fun and engaging way to celebrate the holiday while learning.
How to Use It:
Instruct students to carefully examine the large image and count how many times they see each of the smaller images listed below. They should then write the number they counted on the line next to the corresponding image.
Target Users:
The target users are preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary students, as well as teachers and parents looking for a fun and educational Thanksgiving activity. Homeschooling families could also find this useful.
