Information
Description
What It Is:
This is a 'Kindness/Caring BINGO' worksheet. It presents a 5x5 BINGO grid with the word 'KINDNESS' at the top. Each square contains a different act of kindness or caring, such as 'Give deserving compliments,' 'Thank a classmate,' 'Share a snack,' 'Help somebody tidy up,' 'Offer to help before being asked,' 'Pick up trash,' 'Smile at 3 students you don't know,' and 'Hold the door for others.' One square is marked 'Free.'
Grade Level Suitability:
This worksheet is suitable for grades 1-5. The acts of kindness are simple and age-appropriate for elementary school children. The activity promotes social-emotional learning and positive behavior in a fun and engaging way.
Why Use It:
This worksheet helps students practice and recognize acts of kindness and caring. It promotes empathy, social awareness, and positive interactions with peers and adults. Completing the BINGO card reinforces these behaviors and encourages students to be proactive in showing kindness.
How to Use It:
Students can mark off a square each time they perform the act of kindness listed. Alternatively, a teacher can call out acts of kindness that students have witnessed or performed, and students can mark their cards accordingly. The goal is to get five in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) to achieve BINGO. The 'Your Choice' square allows the student to perform any act of kindness they choose.
Target Users:
This worksheet is ideal for elementary school students, teachers, counselors, and parents who want to promote kindness and caring in the classroom or at home. It can be used as a classroom activity, a character-building exercise, or a tool for social-emotional learning.
