Description
What It Is:
This is a worksheet titled 'Acts of Kindness.' It presents ten incomplete sentences, each beginning with 'I will...' and ending with a prompt. Students are instructed to finish each sentence with an act of kindness. Examples include 'I will help my brother,' 'I will share,' and 'I will thank.' The worksheet includes lines for students to write their responses. There is also a small graphic of hands with hearts in the top right corner.
Grade Level Suitability:
This worksheet is suitable for grades 1-3. The sentences are simple and the concept of kindness is easily understood by this age group. The writing task is also appropriate for their writing abilities.
Why Use It:
This worksheet promotes social-emotional learning by encouraging children to think about and plan acts of kindness. It helps them develop empathy and consider how their actions can positively impact others. It also provides practice in sentence completion and creative writing.
How to Use It:
Instruct students to read each incomplete sentence carefully. Then, ask them to think of a specific act of kindness that would complete the sentence in a meaningful way. Have them write their responses on the lines provided, ensuring their sentences make sense. You can discuss the different acts of kindness as a class after they complete the worksheet.
Target Users:
This worksheet is designed for elementary school students, particularly those in grades 1-3. It is also useful for teachers, parents, and counselors who want to promote kindness and positive social skills in children.
