This is a grammar worksheet focused on diagramming sentences. It provides instructions on how to diagram sentences, including placing the subject and verb on a horizontal line and modifiers on diagonal lines underneath the words they modify. It includes an example sentence already diagrammed: 'Jane sang her baby a sweet lullaby in the evening.' Following the example, there are four sentences for the student to diagram: 'Haley colored the picture in the book,' 'The red and purple flowers bloomed in the spring,' 'My brother and his friend asked me to the party,' and 'Sean and the robot made a silver spaceship and traveled to Mars.'

This worksheet is suitable for grades 6-8. It requires an understanding of sentence structure, including subjects, verbs, direct objects, indirect objects, and modifiers, which are typically taught in these grades.
Why Use It:
This worksheet helps students visualize sentence structure and understand the relationships between different parts of speech. It reinforces grammar concepts and improves writing skills by enabling students to identify and analyze the components of a sentence.
