Information
Description
What It Is:
The worksheet contains multiple copies of a 'Trustworthiness' award or recognition slip. Each slip includes a space to write the name of the student being recognized, a brief description of why they are trustworthy ('can be trusted. This was...'), who demonstrated the trustworthiness, and who is giving the award ('From:'). There is also an image of a hand giving a thumbs up.
Grade Level Suitability:
This worksheet is suitable for grades 1-5. The language is simple and the activity is focused on character recognition, which is a common theme in elementary school character education programs. The writing prompts are short and manageable for this age group.
Why Use It:
This worksheet promotes positive reinforcement and helps students identify and appreciate the character trait of trustworthiness in themselves and others. It encourages observation of good behavior and provides a structured way to acknowledge and celebrate it.
How to Use It:
Print the worksheet and cut out the individual recognition slips. Have students or teachers observe acts of trustworthiness. When someone demonstrates trustworthiness, fill out the slip with their name, a description of the act, and the name of the person giving the recognition. Present the slip to the deserving student.
Target Users:
Teachers, counselors, and students in elementary school classrooms who are participating in character education programs or looking for ways to promote positive behavior.
